'Taking the Mystery Out of Medicare'

Easy to Understand Medicare Options

Medicare is the United States health insurance plan for people who are 65 years or older. If your 65th birthday is coming up, it is important to know what Medicare option is best for you. We will walk you step by step through the Medicare process. We will first meet with you to discuss what you need out of your health care. From there, we will go over your options and pick one that works best for you and your budget.

Our Providers

Aetna, United HealthCare, Humana, Martin's Point, Harvard Pilgrim, WellCare, Wellsense,  Anthem, Life Secure, National General, NE Delta Dental, Ameritas Dental & Guarantee Trust and Life.

Medicare Part A

Medicare Part A covers inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing care facilities, hospice care and home health care visits. While most people do not have to pay a premium for Part A, there is a deductible to meet as well as other out of pocket costs.   Medicare Supplement or Medicare Advantage Plans available through private insurance companies can help pay for those out of pocket costs.

Medicare Part B

Medicare Part B covers outpatient services such as  doctor visits, outpatient tests and surgeries, ambulance services, etc.  There is a monthly premium for Part B that is determined by your income level.  In many cases, Medicare only pays for a portion of these outpatient services, so Medicare Supplement or Medicare Advantage Plans available through private insurance companies can help pay for those out of pocket costs.

Medicare Part C

Medicare Part C is also known as a Medicare Advantage Plan. Medicare Part C covers everything included in Medicare Part A and B as well as extra benefits like dental, vision, hearing aids, gym memberships, etc.

Medicare Part D

Part D helps cover the cost of prescription drugs. Part D can be purchased as a stand-alone plan (PDP) or included with many Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans.

A

Medicare Part A

When you first enroll in Medicare, you will automatically be registered for part A. This part covers any hospital stays, hospice care, nursing homes and other facilities. While most people do not have to pay a premium, you will still be charged a deductible which is why some people add supplemental insurance to cover any out-of-pocket costs.

B

Medicare Part B

Medicare Part B covers outpatient services, ambulances, medical equipment, screenings and doctor's visits. Part B can be more costly, and some people do not sign up for it if they have coverage through a job or spouse. For this reason, we will discuss your options to make sure you have proper coverage at the right price.

C

Medicare Part C

Medicare Part C is also called Medicare Advantage. Medicare Part C covers everything Part A & B do, and it may even cover some extra benefits. Some of these extra benefits can be dental, vision, hearing and health classes.

D

Medicare Part D

Part D focuses on prescription drugs. It will help you cover some of the cost of medicine. Even in this plan, there are different options and qualifications, which is why you should talk to an expert at Harrigan Insurance Services.
